Niko Seaside Resort Mgallery (Adults Only) in Agios Nikolaos (Crete)

The hotel stands on the coastal road of Agios Nikolaos, next to the sister-hotel Hermes and five minutes from the town centre. The centre is 500 metres away, within walking distance of the 'bottomless lake', the archaeological museum and the harbour. The beach in front of the hotel holds the Blue Flag of Europe for the crystal clear waters of Mirabello Bay.

This adults-only resort completed a four-year renovation programme and now has 150 double rooms and 15 single rooms, most with sea views over the Mirabello Gulf. Room categories include Deluxe Retreat with Sea View and plunge pool rooms. Double rooms can be rented for single use.

A rooftop salt-water swimming pool and sun terrace look over Mirabello Bay, while a second outdoor pool has a pool bar and is open all year. The beach in front of the hotel has been a sandy beach since summer 2004. Pool and beach service includes sun loungers, umbrellas, pool/beach towels and a snack bar with refreshments and light meals.

The main restaurant sits on the first floor, seats about 200 people and serves breakfast and dinner as a buffet with Mirabello Bay views. Next to the rooftop pool, the poolside bar offers refreshments, light food and a view of Mirabello Bay. On the ground floor, the air-conditioned lounge bar serves drinks with satellite TV and hosts events such as Cretan and Greek nights.

Aegeo Spa offers spa and wellness packages, full body massage, yoga classes and a fitness room. The waterfront diving center provides SCUBA diving for beginners and advanced divers, plus snorkelling, Jet Ski, parasailing, rings, water-skiing and banana rides; bicycle rental and a golf course are also available. A business centre, 24-hour front desk, concierge service, valet parking, airport shuttle, car hire and a ground-floor supermarket are available, and pets are allowed with pet bowls.
